The LUCHADORES ENMASCARADOS series resurrects the cinematic genre of lucha libre, a form of Mexican wrestling marked by the use of masks, tag teams, and high-flying acrobatics. Starting out in the 1950s as typical gangster crime dramas, 1960s and `70s lucha libre employed increasingly outlandish storylines involving supernatural foes such as vampires, martians, mummies, and zombies.
